Paying for each individual trip as a "self-payer" can become quite expensive over time – especially with lengthy treatments.
In these cases, it is possible and advisable to involve your health insurance company.

Since such trips represent a medical necessity, health insurance companies typically cover your trip so that you can attend your treatment(s).



   IMPORTANT NOTICE   



Of course, we are available for rides to medical facilities you needs. However, we must clearly emphasize the following:

We no longer accept any patient transports or execute follow-up orders after the expiration of approval periods if the required documents are not fully available at the time of transport!

This always leads to unnecessarily lengthy disputes with the respective responsible insurance funds. These disputes often lead to a complete rejection of cost coverage if certificates are submitted too late or cannot be submitted at all —  For us, this means we ultimately have to pay for these trips ourselves and would actually have to invoice you for them afterwards...

To avoid this, we ask for your understanding of our procedure and our insistence on having complete certificates available at the start of the journey.

If you also have what is called a "co-payment exemption" from your health insurance (such as for medications at the pharmacy), these medical trips are even completely free of charge for you!

For this, simply showing your exemption certificate for the current calendar year, which you have previously received from your health insurance company, is sufficient.




The following should be noted for a medical trip by taxi:





PROCESS OVERVIEW

Medical Transport Prescription, issued by your treating doctor

(see sample at left – click for enlarge)

Insurance Authorization, this "medical transport voucher" requires written approval from your health-insurer

(Execptions: Care level 4+ or Hospital admissions)

ideally: Exemption Certificate
Waives your personal co-payment

(see sample image above)

IMPORTANT:
Co-Payment Rules,
if no exemption applies, you pay:

10% of Fare – minimum 5,00€
but not more then 10,00€ max.!  *

Please note: We must charge this co-payment if you qualify for exemption but fail to present your certificate during transport.

It's always better having your exemption certificate with you, when start your medical journey!
